UPDATE: I made them!! They turned out great! I might have to actually buy some skillets for the next time I made them because I couldn’t get them as flat and they were too watery which gave it a very “fatty” texture than meaty.. the taste was spot on though I couldn’t taste mushroom at all and it totally made me feel like I was eating ribs again!

I just made this. I did everything except: I used peanut oil (all I had) I used pre-sliced mushrooms from the market and I used a grill machine (like George Foreman) I made the BBQ sauce from the recipe he made on his channel. They were great, my only complaint is that I didn't make enough.

Yeah I agree. Goodful is owned by buzzfeed/ tasty. They have teams of people that do marketing, recipe testing, video editing, and production. I’m 1 guy hahaha and I hope more people like you notice how they work.

I recently bought Black Oyster Mushroom and cook them between to pan to release as much water as possible from them. And continued sautéing them in BBQ sauce. And wow they really tasted like meat. Didn't really look like steak but still my mind was blown away by the meaty taste and texture. Thanks again for video like this. I am not vegan but love trying meat alternative.

Tried them today! Incredibly yummy - tasted, smelled and LOOKED just like ribs! The texture was a little odd... It was exactly like the fatty part of real ribs. So that wasn't... Super appealing but the taste alone was good enough for us to enjoy them!
