Nice one Keith! A good trick if you want to locate something like this without fixing it down permanently is to use little scrap ply blocks just glued to the floor in each of the corners; it’s enough just to locate the piece and stop it being knocked, but the blocks can be removed easily enough if you stick them down with e.g. hot glue, or 3M double-sided tape. 👍👍

Delighted you got the roof racks for the van. You got to admit it does make life a whole lot easier when transporting sheets or even as I have had on mine... Multiple 18ft lengths of 4x2. No waiting on timber supplier to deliver any more! Well done. The benches look great.

A nice build Keith, as you cut the dowels shorter than the holes, maybe you could have polished them before fitting? just an idea.

Those benches will be the better spot on the shop and with the plants it will be like a small garden. Although i like dark wood the colour is very nice , it is an excellent job !!!!!!

Another inspirational video, my workshop is a 8 x 12 shed, fully insulated that permits work in the really cold months. I often have to work in the garden when using sheet material and it it isn’t an issue. I do have a Makita track and Dewalt table saws. So it’s great to see a quality job done in similar surroundings to myself. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Before inserting the brass dowels you should of polished them up then tapped them home with a off cut for protection and a hammer, still a great build.

When you were pounding in that brass dowel I wondered why you didn't just use shorter brass plugs as they were just decorative.
@sandman26515 жыл бұрын
The brass is a nice effect but as soon as you said about it i thought that will be a challenge to sand flat using ply as have seen done with solid wood making it easy to sand back

Nice work Keith. Turned out great, personally I would have gone with a highter back to the bench but clients orders I guess. I was wondering if you had difficulty finding the baltic Birch ply and exactly how much it was here in the UK. You see the American channels work with it often but never over here.
@RagnBoneBrown5 жыл бұрын
It was about £70 per 8x4 sheet. You can get it at most builders merchants or bigger timber yards
