I would be interested in relative max. output power of the 3 types or any other data that differentiates them in order to answer the question: why bother with more stators/winding/complexity?
@Suzuki_Hiakura Жыл бұрын
The relative max output power would always be limited, most definitely by the magnets. They will only attract up to a certain point; the magnets are pulled by the electromagnetic properties of the coils, but while electromagnets can be given more power, regular magnets will have a finite limit on power. The stator is the entire part of the motor that has the coil windings, so I assume you were referring to the coil windings in your question. More coils will essentially increase the amount of magnets that can pull the permanent (neodymium) magnets. More windings will increase the voltage that can go through it, which would increase the rpm of it. A thicker cable would increase the maximum amperage and overall torque of the motor. Unsure what you meant about complexity though. Did you mean why multiple coils are continued across the stator? Knowing the gauge of the wire, the number of turns, the number of coils, and the control board's output should be able to give an approximate relative max output power of the three types of motors, but that’s about it.

Hm, he's using three wires for three phases but, if it's DC it needs to be six wires to change the polarity in the coil. If it's AC, or even if you rely on the field collapse to act as the reversed polarity, there needs to be a return/ground wire.

When I discovered that I could change the behavior of a motor by writing instructions I knew I had wasted my college career!
