The lady that came to your booth- that is what made me fall in love with growing cut flower bouquets & why I started flower farm. When Nicole @ Flower Hill Farm talked about the way the flowers wpuld bring back memories for people, like remembering certain flowers their grandma grew, or how smelling a certain flower would bring back memories of something... I think you have a great attitude about it- "its a learning experience" You're so right! I'm in my 3rd year & I'm still experimenting with price points, amount of flowers to put in the bouquets depending on the price I'm charging, etc.

Those purple zinnias are stunning! And I love the story of that sweet lady! So special. I'm in year two selling flowers and have my first market this weekend so I'm nervous and excited! I've worked at a market before and one thing that really helps draw in customers is to be standing up and busy doing something, somehow it's easier for people to walk up to the booth. I'm planning on not putting all the bouquets together beforehand but bringing buckets and making some at the market so that there is something to keep me busy while standing. If it's 100° that's really hard on the flowers though, the less they are being jostled around in the heat the better. I'm in Washington State so our weather is pretty mild. Also I know it's too hot to have eggs out but you can have empty cartons, lots of people don't read signs and so they might see the cartons and walk over! You're doing awesome especially for it being July!!

@@Peacefulpetalsfarm Oh nice! That's not too far, I'm in Yelm kind of between Seattle and Olympia. You must have had to learn a whole new growing style moving to Florida!! We have family in Orlando and would love to move there one day.

@@sunniesflowerco Cool! Yeah, I had to adapt quick to this subtropical growing zone. It was alot easier to grow in WA even though the season is shorter. FL is my first home (from Miami orginally) so I missed the sun.

Lower the price of a dozen eggs. Your price is high. In NY farm fresh eggs are $5 or less.

There is another vendor selling eggs at this market for $6 so we were matching them. In our area they can go for $6 to $7 a dozen.
