I had so much fun trying these two new products. The car freshies ended up not being for me, and the reed diffusers will need a lot of work before I would be comfortable selling them - but I did have fun in the making of these, and trying new things is always a fun time for me!

Love the experiment. Haha. Im nit a fan of the freshies either. Just not my style. I do however have the little bottles. They work great. You're gonna love them. Black ice works in them too. Haha. Thats whats in my truck.

My customers really seem to love freshies. I measure everything in ounces, about an ounce and a half of FO to 8 oz of scent beads. They will generally hold scent for about a month. They are fun to make :)

Freshies are popular now. I started out using aroma beads about 4 yrs ago for artifial flowers. Put some fragrance in them and loved them. Then I found them making freshies and that was so much better. Been doing them ever since. So fun! Reed diffusers I first found mine at Bescented a couple years ago and love them a lot for the home. As in eveything in this business the fragrance is the most expensive ingredient. Use reed diffuser base to thin the fragrances to help the reeds absorb the fragrance and spread it in the air. My sister is just crazy about the scents that she smells when I add a new reed fragrance. My customers usually get a new freshie once every three months, depending on strength, exposure to sunlight, etc. For me the hugh or big designs didn't sell for the very reason you said. Only the small ones sell well. Now if you sell them, do put a warning on your labels that direct sunlight and high heat will cause them to start to melt, so they need to avoid that so problems don't arise. Cheers 👍🤗💕

The last one is the one I make sale and use. Those are great! Beside that I am out, lol. I offer refills to my customers Tammy and they love it. First time is 10.00 and them just 5 for the refills.

I bought those beads last year and put them in those little organza bags, i didn't like them, I didn't feel like they smelled strong enough with the amount of fragrance oil i used, but i gave some away and my hubby's mom really liked them. She used hers in her closet and drawers. I did also buy some incense sticks but haven't done anything with them. Actually forgot about it till now LOL I have been thinking about buying those little car freshener bottles though. Haven't done that yet! So I'm anticipating the video you have on that!

But yeah, I'm out on the beads 😆 But I am really liking the car bottles - gotta come up with a name for them cause I don't know what the heck to call them LOL also probably going to be a lot of testing to see which fragrances work. I’ve made all 3 (reed diffusers, freshies & car diffusers). The only one I continue making is the glass car diffusers. They’re big sellers for me because they actually work!

Someone gave me a reed diffuser (purchased) and it was SO STRONG that I have closed it and need to get more reeds for it. It’s definitely for a larger room… or an entire floor of a house. I’ve never made any of these things and don’t think I plan to, but that little bottle for a car freshener… I might try that! 😊

I am currently testing a reed diffuser. I got the diffuser base from Flaming Candle but I got the reeds from Candle Science. I used the fragrance Black Sea to test. I, too, seem to only smell it when I'm close to the diffuser and I used 8 reeds. I've been testing for about 3 weeks and I flip the reeds once a week. I've decided to test another diffuser base from Wholesale Supplies Plus to see if it makes a difference. I do plan to test other fragrances. I think before you give you up you should keep testing unless it's not really something you want to provide to your customers. I know some fragrances are stronger than others so you may find some winners eventually. :)

Thanks for your comment - I actually thought about trying a different base, different reeds and different fragrances. But then I thought about all of the testing and $$ and for now I am tabling it. I won't say never but the candle testing is at times so time consuming that I think I need to concentrate on those for now. Maybe when I have a great yearly lineup on those I can try again. I make them to use up my small amounts of FO up. lol The black ice from LoneStar is amazing. I agree with you on the big freshies I make mine in a silicone mold of a wolf paw and they love them. I can't see spending that much time decorating a car freshies like you its not me.

oh that I such a great idea! I sometimes struggle with what to do with the leftover FO! Smart Lady!! Yeah - it was a fun project but I'm leaving those freshies to others LOL, your wolf paw sounds fun though! 💚
