Yes and you can always use milder chillies and even bell peppers to make a milder sauce

Hi Aunty. This is a interesting chilli sauce recipe with pineapple. I'm sure it taste delicious. Also one can adjust the heat of the sauce by choosing the variety of fresh chillies used. I'm sure this hot one can be mixed with Mayo when assembling sandwiches to tone down the heat. @ Pranesh, indeed the weather in Jhb in the past three days has been extremely hot and eating a hot chilli sauce won't help much 😂. Take care.

I think the shelf life will be about a month in the fridge. Maybe longer depending how often you you it and how well the container is sterilised.

Hot day or not, we eat chilli sauce all the time. The hottest chillie sauce I've ever eaten is Habernero scorpion sauce. Pranesh mentioned it.

Hi Aunty Lalli., Hi Pranesh... that looks perfect. Just one question. How long will this sauce last in the fridge??
@GaithreeDeviLuckanАй бұрын
Ours lasted about 2 months and then we made another version that's currently about 4 weeks in the fridge. Divide into smaller containers to avoid opening and closing the large container each time. We also mix with mayonnaise for a chillie mayo that goes so well with chicken dishes.

Hi Gaithree. Your garden looks so beautiful. I also love gardening. The sauce looks great. Please tell me what can I use in place of vinegar. Cause of my ulcer I cannot have anything with vinegar. I love hot chutney or sauce. Thank you sharing your recipe. Have an awesome day. Lots of love to you and Pranash.

Looks great 🔥🔥🔥. How much (mL or grams) did you get from 800g chillies?
@GaithreeDeviLuckan6 ай бұрын
Great question, Pranesh estimated it was just over 1500ml but it will also depend on how chunky or smooth/runny you want the sauce to be. We made it quite thick and chunky.

Hi aunty ur sauce looks good but u didn't put salt whilst cooking the sauce
@GaithreeDeviLuckan6 ай бұрын
We added a teaspoon of rough salt to the chillies when grinding in the food processor. This was sufficient to our own taste, you can always taste and adjust to your own when making it.

@GaithreeDeviLuckan6 ай бұрын
Hi Marlene, yes the chillies we used were very hot but you still get the nice tropical taste. You can replace the chillies with milger chillies such as anaheim peppers or pablano or even Jalepeno. Or you can use less chillies and replace with bell peppers for the colour and no heat.
