Thanks, Cindy, for a reminder of my mom making this delicious bread when I was a youngster. I pulled out her Betty Crocker cookbook she passed down to me and low and behold there was the recipe you showed from your cookbook. I need to make some bread this weekend so this will be the one I make. It will go great with the bean soup I make on the wood cookstove. Very hearty bread. I love to get my hands in the dough also as you get how dough should feel and practically don't have to follow a recipe to a tee. Yum Yum

Good morning to you folks! Cindy should start a cooking/baking channel. The bread looks delicious. I miss homemade bread. When my brothers and I were growing up, Mom bake bread every week. 6 loaves at a time. Man was it good. Now we generally eat store bought bread and it's just not the same. Well done Cindy! Hope you folks have a good day.
@MuskratOutdoors13 күн бұрын
Good Morning! Homemade bread is nothing like store bought stuff, but it is kind of time consuming to make. 6 loaves at a time is a lot! Cindy's doesn't last long, but it does mold fast if we don't eat it pretty fast.

Gary ! Have a question. How do you take the bone out of your beaver tails? Or to a video you made. Thanks
@MuskratOutdoors13 күн бұрын
They are kind of hard to skin. Cut along the edges about a half inch or so deep. Then skin the base of the tail towards the tip a few inches, then I clamp them in a vice and pull it off the rest of the way. Inside, they are a white, gristle like meat or fat. That needs to be scraped off. I had a couple videos on it, but took them off out of respect for a local guy that tans them. I should probably put them back on.
