MAKING CORDUROY DUNGAREES || Merchant and Mills Harlene Pattern
In this video, I am making my own pair of corduroy dungarees, following the Merchant and Mills Harlene pattern.

In this week's video, I am making myself dungarees out of Olive corduroy .
I am cutting out the pattern, making the patch pockets, attaching all the pieces together, topstitching and adding hardware using the Harlene hardware kit. This is a great project for intermediate/experienced sewers and shows the process of making a garment.

Always iron the cloth and remove creases before laying the pattern

Fantastic thanks Agnes! I really appreciate your share as I too got a bit lost with the pocket bag and found attaching the back straps to the top back a challenge as well, but your tutorial helped immensely !!

I measured myself accurately I thought, the size 12 pattern has turned out HUGE, I now have taken out 5.5cm from the crotch rise, and need to take in at least 5cm each side - thank God for KZbin to show me how without changing the natural line of the dungarees!

i've made the size 12 and 14 patterns now and both times they came out huge as well. I think it is meant to be a very relaxed fit clearly.

Thanks for your video I have just started to make these dungarees for my granddaughter and this has been very helpful. I also have a singer hd sewing machine and have trouble with the speed control you can slow it down a bit by altering a piece in the foot pedal it’s easy if you take a look on KZbin US model can be slowed more than UK model

Amazing coinkidink, have just traced out the pattern, I've made a few Yanta overalls so when I came face to face with these alien looking pattern pieces I was terrified. You've certainly demystified it for me. I'll crack on now feeling a little more confident. Thank you so much. Has bump arrived yet?
