Your crossbow seems to have a pretty powerful draw, so I'd suggest using an arrow release tool (or just a hook) to save your fingers when loading. If you want more power, try adding a small recurve towards both ends of your forged metal limb (there are also several designs with doubled limbs that have insane power).
