Lots of hoses and dust port sizes, how to connect between them? If you have access to a 3D printer, you can make all sorts of customized adapters, from simple cones to very unique tool situations.
I cover 3 methods here:
1. Using the Follow-Me tool in SketchUp
2. Exploring the Curviloft plugin to make more complex adapters
3. Combining basic modeling forms + Curviloft to make a very unique host port for 1 specific belt sander.
A few suggestions that I didn't cover but that are good for 3D printing from SketchUp. Use ThomThom's 'Solid Inspector' plugin to check your final group before exporting it as an .stl.
If you are using older versions of SketchUp, the .stl exporting was not built in as an option, but there is still an .stl plugin that will make it possible.
