Try using engine enamel spray paint onto the 3D master mold. It will get rid of the print lines if you want a smooth finished jig. I do that with sand cast aluminum injection molds for soft plastics and it works well! Good video man!

Love this content! I do alot of the same things you do. I haven't yet got good enough with cad to make a mold like this but I'm learning. I do have a secret I found that will help you out in the future though. The ladle you are using I have the same one take a lighter and carbon it up. it will make the lead pour smoothly and keep from sticking to it. The lead that sticks to it makes it pour out unevenly.

@@catherineromeo4891 I don't know much about 3d scanners but in theory it should work. It probably would still take a lot of clean up work after scanning to fix and make a mold from but if the son knows what he's doing it shouldn't be to hard for him to do.

I have about a dozen mold max molds that I have made. I’m low tech and pore the mold max over a blank half imbedded in clay. I’ve only ever made a single cavity mold and find it gets to hot after about 10 pores. I’ve never had one fail even after 100’s of pores as long as you never get it to hot. Works great for tin as well. Anyone offer a 3D printing service.

Awesome, very informative and love the way you not scared to show the ones which don’t work out. Do you sell your silicone molds?

Thanks.... I do not sell the molds I only sell the 3D files so people can 3d print their own masters and make their own molds.

@@TheNeverendingProjectsList Unfortunately I don’t own a 3D printer but if you would consider selling this exact master please let me know I’d love to try this jig here in New Zealand

Hey, amazing video. I do have a question though. I never tried fusion before I have used cura and others, but how did you get the size hook, diameter, dimensions of the hook into fusion?
