I’ve had the good fortune to have hand made shoes before, and watched their construction in stages by a small group of craftsman. Mr. yosui has mastered every stage, the hand cutting precision and attention to detail is remarkable. The Japanese culture again shows its roots in high skill, painstaking, workmanship.

I would love to have shoes made for me. I have wide feet and it isn't always easy to find wide shoes, therefore my feet push against the sides and cause pain. I always imagined shoes that are tailored to your feet would feel amazing and you wouldn't get sore, tired feet at the end of the day.

@@trinomial-nomenclature Right, I was told that part of his customer base is people with special orthopedic needs that just can’t find comfort even with orthopedic shoes. Interestingly in my case, I had a couple pair made from the same LAST which he built-up from a 2D pattern of my foot, one pair fit near perfect but the other was slightly snug and needed adjustments after construction. Love both, but he pointed to the distinct leather choices I made for each as a possible reason.

Много лишней работы, как и отсталый технологический процесс, хотя точнее дурацкий, но парень всё равно молодец, трудолюбивый, если чего, то я подобную обувь делаю с 1979 года, моё поколение последнее, которое умеет, больше не готовят, впрочем и не нужно

That is true craftsmanship! He made that shoe completely with his own two hands, no machine, no spinning contraption, just his hands. That’s bespoke handmade and with great care. That’s true bespoke craftsmanship that few can do today in an age of cheap quick manufacturing. That’s a quality pair of shoe that will last a long time. Much respect. Maybe one day soon I’ll be wearing a bespoke pair of Japanese crafted shoes.

Fantastic work! I wouldn't dare to use them, it's piece of art. The right thing to do is to put them under glass cover and store them in a bookshelf. Maybe use them for a extra ordinary event. It's a real masterpiece.
