Dave Staheli and others close to the invention of the DewPoint hay steamer recall some of the inspirational experiences that led Dave to the idea to apply steam to hay.
It was the summer of 1994 when Dave Staheli was managing the hay operations on Brent Hunter Farms in Cedar City, Utah. It was an extremely dry summer and hundreds of acres of hay had been sitting on the ground. Dave held the responsibility of making the decisions about when the hay was to be baled, and he couldn't get the much needed natural dew he needed to put up the hay.
This was a problem he had continuously faced throughout the years managing Hunter's farm, but it was especially difficult that summer. Out of desperation, he prayed for a solution to the problem they were facing and he recalled an experience he had previously had at a taco restaurant. The idea to apply steam was born.
After testing the concept, Dave knew this was an idea he had to bring to life for his farm and the hay industry altogether. We hope you enjoy this amazing documentary. Part 2, 3, and 4 are now live. Please subscribe and follow! Watch them all on KZbin or at staheliwest.co...
