Your stuff came out cool! You can also just puncture bottle caps with a hammer and nail. Screw drivers also come in lots of different head configurations, for example I have one that comes to a point at the end so I can sort of stab through things like bottle caps. Yes keep doing more DIY stuff

Speaking of sound altering, I cannot get a good sound out of my drums in the basement. Got concrete walls on two sides, a wooden wall, and boiler/water heater on the other. Do I just need some foam panels? The sound is so harsh I usually wear headphone-style hearing protection to cut down the brightness.

the cheapest way and most efficient is to find some old carpet or thick tissus , Put 3 layer of them on each wall . If you wanna more atenuation , let 5 cm of AIR between your carpet and the walls .
