Thank you for posting such a variety of projects! Another element of the simple placemats is you could really do some fun custom quilting. Those wide open blocks are a lovely blank canvas! I really enjoy all the process of of quilting but I really like the actual quilting part!🤪

Love these. I have made one set of placemats and they are similar to these. I have a small round table to I just add my border to the sides and it comes out about right. So much versatility with this kind of pattern. Thank you!

I like these simple placemats. I would very much like to see how you do placemats on the longarm. I have a couple sets of placemats that need quilted, and I am not sure how I should handle them on the longarm. I would love to see your method. Thanks for all your tutorials and patterns.

Yes, I will be showing that! Just waiting on backing fabric to arrive.

So cute! The fabric is the star of the show❤ Will you be doing any of the quilting on your sewing machine and not the long arm? What type of quilting would you suggest? (Last night I made one of your Christmas stockings for our newest great grandson who was born on New Years Day!Every one of our younger grandchildren and great children got a stocking at Christmas. I made 10❤Our newest ggson makes 11! So we have 11 under 11. )

I'm glad you enjoyed the stockings. How exciting- I love babies and kids! I probably won't just for time's sake. But if I were to quilt on my domestic, I do either do lines or free motion. You could do all in one direction (matchstick or spaced out more), crosshatch (there are lots of different spacing options), or free motion loops. You could even use one of the stitches on your machine, like a wavy stitch. There are really so many ways to quilt it and since they are placemats, they are small and easily maneuverable. If you want, you can experiment on a small quilt sandwich with just solid fabric

I don't know what kind of ham sandwhich im making over here. But I have been working on tge first one for well over an hour and it's not even half done. I am using the same charm pack, same machine, same 57D foot. Dual feed is not engaged but I keep sewing them crocket and have to rip them apart and start again.
@jessica_dayon15 күн бұрын
I keep my dual feed engaged. Whenever you have a "D" foot on, it is made specifically for use with the dual feed and you need to use it or the foot can't work correctly. I also turn the pressure on my presser foot down to 0.

No, I don't sell them. It's me and my husband and we have 4 kids so we need 6.
