Making eccentric clamps for CNC table

The eccentric clamps are very useful at CNC table. I used very solid woods: hornbeam for clockwise rotation clamps and wenge for counterclockwise rotation clamps.

So, I get my 720t CNC on Monday, and have tried using the same Festool clamps that you're using - I've found that the clamps lift the work piece up off the table, so I was going to make a slightly angled 'shim' to fit between the clamp and workpiece to redirect the upward clamping pressure downward. And here I find that you're making your own clamps! Cool!

CNC cutting on both sides of the same board was interesting. Like how you filled the pivot pieces with epoxy for strength. You used two types of wood, so are you testing the strength of the two woods to withstand the pressure force? Nice to see the boys are keeping your tools organized and helping on the workbench. MRrwmac I guess the two woods are used to have different colors for right and left hand clamps. Could have been done by staining/painting them differently, but mtm probably would never paint beautiful wood.

erolcanulutas Sometimes the blanks are thin - 8-10 mm and the spindle can touch the clamp. The central part should be thicker to hold the tube well.
