The meta died in 1.9, but yeah it used to be good. Now it's 9/6 medium tanks and mechanized or motorized, you can even put SPG instead of medium tanks if you're going full-on soft attack

Every single time I try to encircle my units can't keep up, the enemy units block me, and I end up getting encircled. I see people do massive encirclements with pure infantry and I can't even pull it off with tanks. FML.

You need organization, for both offense and defence, if low organization the troop can only attack for few hours rather than weeks or even months. Add infantry

everytime i play as germany by 1941 when i start Operation Barbarossa i have 150 divisions in the eastern front vs 500+ soviet divisions. I use my tanks to try to encircle the soviets but its impossible i always fail... i dont know what im doing wrong..

sounds a good strategy, but i kinda want to do historical like the germans did but the soviets keep sending waves after waves, they always push me back to Berlin and i get rekt, but they lost like 6 million man.. its annoying cuz i always win the western front very easily.

John Carter well historically the germans “surprised” attack the soviets and they weren’t prepared for an invasion. In this game though they have like 100 days to prepare, so it’ll be kinda hard to do it historically

i know its been 4 years and you might not even play hoi4 anymore, and if you do, you know this info by now, but do the moltov ribbentrop pact, and THEN go for war with the ussr, this way they dont put that many troops on their border, and you can just blitz them

From my experience lvl 3-4 is good, beyond that is too expencive to build. But it also depends on what you have on that frontline. If you can assign a lot of troops there, then lvl 3 is proparbly fine. If you can only have like 2-3 divisions pr. tile against the Soviets f.eks, then maybe 4-5 is worth it. Keep in mind though, if your forts are too high level and you have a lot of troops there, the enemy wont even attack because their odds of winning is way too low. I`m not sure if this was any help at all, but that`s what I`ve figured out at least. Also, keep in mind IF you get pushed back, you find yourself pushing against the same bunkers when counter attacking unless you manage to destroy them. So don`t go building lvl 10 forts and only station 1 division there, cause its gonna be a pain getting that tile back :p

Man in German is pronounced more like 'mon', so Manstein is pronounced as "Mon-Stein" The 'L' at the end of Rommel is soft like apple, "Rom-el" Gudarian "G-d'air-ian" Maginot "Ma-gin-oh"

the very good demonstration, the main issue for breakthrough for encirclement are soft attack, hard attack and organization must not less than 30%, motorized is the most important to enhance speed . am i understand correctly?

I'm new and have only played 2 games so far. My biggest problem has been which factories to make in what ratio, and how ot focus on production. My 2 games have been as el salvador and as iran. both times ive had all sorts of problems with production. Another one would be puppeting vs annexing. Im not sure when is the best to do either. thanks.

That panzer division... why do you do the things you do? You have to manage so much production, and I know it's a good stat spread, but the Self- Propelled is so damaging to speed, armor, and breakthrough... and for what? A little soft attack? You would be better off with 20 width light or medium tanks.
