It’s just amazing how as a bookseller in the1980’s I saw this book printed and sold to great success. It has been remaindered for so many years and was able to be purchased for a few dollars. I got two on eBay a few months ago for 10 bucks! And right now you’re looking at 30$ plus for the hardcover! Oh the power of us crafters!!🤣🤣

I, too, have the original Edith Holden book I bought in the 1970's. I could not tear it up. So I went to Ebay to see if I could find one to purchase and imagine my surprise that they were selling for $80 and up!! I will continue to look for a bargain priced one to dismember. However, there is a book I feel is just as lovely, perhaps more so, that is available on Amazon right now at the price of $14.00. A similar story of Margaret Wilson who began her journal in 1934 so that a friend of hers would be able to recognize the "Wildflowers of Britain month by month". I have no problem tearing up a book I can buy several of and keep one delightful copy for myself. Check it out!

I have been in the junk journal world only a couple of months, but kept hearing the name Edith Holden. Made a first trip to a library used book sale, and what did I find for $2 but Edith Holden! I was gasping for air and my friend thought I was nuts! So don’t give up hope!! The books are out there! Not sure that I can tear mine up after seeing prices on Amazon. Jane's memoirs, I really ought to get that! I have the same name after all! lol. Just love Edith Holden, with 3 copy's of her book I'm REALLY trying to make myself use one for journal things...especially with Ceri & Gayles beautiful makes to inspire me :) Little note on my shop, Krafting Kitty Kat on etsy, the labour day sale went over really well, so after a bit of thought I have decided to continue it ( same 20% off of everything) as I was made aware that a few people couldnt get the items they want due to pay-days, budget restraints, etc.....so take a look and pick up an item or two.

I love these. I'll have to make from something else. I have 2 copies of Diary of An Edwardian Lady. As long as I'm living they'll never dismantled. I did copy a page and used it. Then someone told me I couldn't make copies but it was fine to rip pages out to use. I'll just live without Edith Holden in my journals. I don't mind others dismantling their copies of her books to make pockets and cards. I just can't do it myself. One copy I bought brand new in 1978

I couldn’t bear to use my one and only copy, it took me ages to find it. However a few years ago a British craft company made a CD of it specifically for paper crafting. The company is Joanna Sheen It might be available on the website or eBay. It’s a double CD-ROM I’m not sure if Joanna ships out of the uk now but I do know it’s available on eBay. There’s actually two cd roms. The one by Joanna Sheen which is a 2 cd set when ch if I remember correctly is very much like the pages of the book with backing papers and toppers. Then Crafters companion also did a 2 cd set . It’s slightly different but does work with the Joanna Sheen papers too. If you can get hold of either or I do recommend them.
