Gayle, I really do love listening to and watching you. I was ironing about 50 strips of muslin fabric I tea dyed yesterday so I can stamp on them. It took me both your videos and a few others to get through ironing them all! I love seeing all the ideas and combos you come up with too. Thanks once again for sharing your humor and knowledge and imagination. Thanks for keeping me company too!

Hi Gayle, i don't think i could ever craft along with you because i don't want to miss a thing your doing! i might be the only one out here, but i never heard of Edith Holden before 😲 i will google her after watching this. i love your paper trimmer, it looks like it glides really well, i have a Fiskar one but might need to invest in one like you have. you really have a gift in being able to make us feel like we're right there with you, i enjoy hearing about your day as you create, going to costco, what you like from there, etc. just like friends chatting. maybe you will have a little Hobby Lobby haul to share 😉 i agree with whoever suggested you sell packets of your bits and pieces in your etsy shop! "Gayle's Goody Packs!!" i love how everything turned out, thanks so much for all the inspiration 💕

Loved the January EH page for the Winter's Tale signature center! Looking forward to watching you create that journal. The only thing better than watching you design that journal is if I win it, first!🙏☺ One has not seen a true artist at work until one watches the craft artist tear the edges of washi tape to get "the look!" Lol!! 😘 Love watching your work! What a gift you give to the crafting community! As always, TFS!!! ❤

I enjoyed this so much-learning all the way to use parts and pieces and thinking of more ways to use the bits and bobs that are left over!! My husband retires from the government at the end of this year, and we’re leaving Pennsylvania and moving west. We never had kids so don’t have to take that into consideration 😉my mother is still living and is my only living relative except for a cousin that lives where my mother does in Arkansas. My hubby hates anywhere there’s humidity-he’s from northern Idaho, and he wants to go back west for retirement. He only has one living relative-a brother-and wants to go closer to him. He left that area (he went to college in Cheney, WA at Eastern Washington University) in 1988 when he went to work for the Army as a civilian. We’ve spent months looking on real estate sites at homes in NM, AZ, UT, NV, ID, MT, WY, Western Nebraska, Eastern WA and Eastern OR. We hope to put our house on the market at the beginning of Summer, so my next home has to have a really great craft room with a lot of room for scraps!! Sorry to run your ear off! 😘

Now I'm going nuts. I know this is a year old but you have tripped my trigger. Lol I have leaves on my Brother machine and I have 2 types. So now I'm going to let loose. But I'm still waiting on my Edith book. Its the edwardian lady book. I'm upset as it was shipped 8 days ago. How long doest it take to get to Wi from DE? My word. You have made my day with the sewing on her lovely pages. Rock on dear lady. Oh and the leaves on that page is stunning. Just wonderful Gayle. Oh my i loved the Birdbox, it's a thriller. Im so,sorry this is long but today I learned so much about making my own ephemera. I did the collage board like you did. I'm so very pleased. You and Pam from Paper Outpost and Nik have taught me much. But you are way more in depth. Thank you thank you Gayle I would not have anything to,put in a journal if not for, your teachings.

I have this same sewing machine. This video is a year old hopefully it’s still holding up, as I just started sewing with mine a month ago. I’ve had it for over a year but, it just sat in the box because I’ve never used a sewing machine before and I was super nervous. Your reverse stitching looks like it goes a lot smoother than mine. I do love all the stitches, especially for journals.

Comment #4 .... I suggest putting a popsicle stick or something like that at the end of the wide washi after each use. Then it would never get stuck back down to the roll. I do this with a large paper clip on my packing tape. It’s easy to remove when I need to use it. Hope that helps!

Also can use plastic wrap or similar material along the edge .

I finally made my first hard back JJ. I gave it to my son for Christmas. He thought it was great. But he has to say that because I am Mom. I put in two signatures because it was only a one inch spine. But I think I put them each of them too close to each side of the spine because there was a gap between them. But he was happy and that's what's important. I did the pamphlet stitch and the stitches were straight!!! I used your method of making a template for the holes. Thanks for all your ideas.

I like to spread a little cream colored paint thinly on a paper plate, use bubble wrap as a stamp, and dab paint on the serendipity paper before I cut it into tags. It knocks back some of the bolder patterns in the paper. Oh, wait- I use a script stamp and permanent ink to randomly stamp first. I did the same thing with my Frayed Burlap ink pad. Argh!
