11:40 While Deep Cut doesn’t really have the traits of those root negative mental states, you can _kinda_ see the dregs of them in the inspiration of the characters. Despite being quite literally the brains behind the group by composing their songs, Big Man can come across as pretty goofy sometimes, and didn’t consider how his colleagues would feel when he worked with the Squid Sisters. Shiver typically acts almost kind kind of formal (dunno if this is the right word, but I couldn’t think of a way to describe it) compared to the rest of Deep Cut, a trait typically associated with the rich, who in turn are often portrayed as greedy. Frye is usually the most chaotic of the three, and while I can’t put words to it, she seems like a person that of they held a grudge against you, they would _not_ let you forget about it.

Yknow, I saw a theory that at the core, they're actually meant to be the inverse of their poisons. I'd say Big Man was fairly aware of how Shiver and Frye would feel about the collab, since he went so far to hide it. He's generally portrayed as the most clear-headed and thoughtful member of Deep Cut and tries to anchor Shiver and Frye whenever he can. While Shiver doesn't seem particularly selfless, some Splatfest/miscellaneous dialogue has suggested that this might just be a facade, and that she does truly care for Frye and Big Man and wants to make them happy. She just doesn't like to show weakness, but she's always looking to empower her friends and lift their spirits. She's the one to deliver the "...shallow cut" line in Story Mode, pointing out how most of the spoils from their thievery are going back to Splatsville (which i personally interpret as an honest statement). Frye isn't necessarily as much of a universal friend as Big Man, but a lot of her motivations seem to just be about enjoying herself, which I'd say is the antithesis of hatred. When she does get combative, it's generally to protect something. Splatsville's legacy, her bandmates, the treasure they're selling to help the city. I'd say it's pretty rare to see her in a conquering mood, even during Splatfests. She tends to treat it more like a game than a competition for glory.

I feel like the idols put on a front, on the surface, they seem like they fit the poisons, but in reality they don't Big Man seems goofy but he's very intelligent After finishing the DLC, Frye gets angry because they only cover Inkopolis instead of Splatsville but Shiver says that she was praising Off the Hook's new song right before And Shiver's hobby is supposedly counting money but, along with the others, she wanted the Alterna treasure to help the less fortunate Splatlandians

Is it weird to say that these ACTUALLY feel like well crafted monster designs and not fancy animal designs as some fakemon are? Like, I can actually imagine these properly in game without it feeling almost too "perfect" Especially after hearing how Gamefreak normally design their own pokemon. I love how weird they all are

Imagine just what a DJ Octavio fakemon would look like, or a Mr. Grizz fakemon, or even a Commander Tartar fakemon. The possibilities are ENDLESS with Splatoon fakemon.

My best buddy is falling back into the rabbit hole of Pokemon, and we both love Splatoon, so I guess this was a really cool video for them!! I've lost interest in Pokemon a long time ago, but it's still interesting to hear about them after such a long time! I'd love to see a sequel to this, perhaps going over other characters that aren't idols. Agents, villains, Salmonids maybe? Yo Holy Great Zap-fish! I didn’t expect this to appear in my recommendations via KZbin but here we are. (I also made some Splatoon x Pokémon idea ie the Inklings as a Pokémon but I did them as starters for a region (alongside 2 others) I’m still developing and based on a certain Nintendo franchise. I mean deep cut does embody their poisons as part of them Big man was unaware and hurt his team Shiver and frye constantly bring up the money aspect (Shiver more than frye) and also have a feud with inkopolis which was wrathful (Ex. Suffer No Fools, a rap battle. Big betrayal, a regular battle)

Since we learned that PragMagik is working on every Route 1 Dark Rodents + their Evolutions with foongoos_mon, mykemon_regions, an_artist_astray, and tub_az, how about we'll do the same thing? And since we also learned that Green Scorpion did confirmed Great Izuchi to be Normal-Type Route 1 Rodent in Rise (Basically based of a Sickle Weasel if we're not mistaken), I can get creative as a 1st example Don't get me wrong, the full Dark/Normal type are referencing the Stalker role in The Rampage. And it's evolved form, Suguchino (meaning Superior Bloodedge), is Dark/Ghost type while also a reference to Afflicted Great Izuchi. So a zombified Kamaitachi? That's a yikes for the Sneasel lines! Plus, much like the Pokemon-themed Bosses in Tears of the Kingdom what Bilsu Art has made, the Afflicted Monsters and Risen Monsters do evolved after exposing to a living item called "Qurio". Most of them do grant Monsters the Ghost-Typing while others doesn't. And they even have upgraded materials to defend against other enemies until they're dropped after being defeated by humans And in Suguchino's case, the pelt and hide are useful for nullifying Dragon-Type Moves. Perfect for demolishing Dragon Types like Hydreigon and Kommo-o. Like Sneasler, Suguchino do prefer solitude rather than forming packs due to the zombie-like appearance and killer rogue-like behavior that makes you go to the gun show. The spit attack has also upgraded to a chunk of corrosive blood. Rumors are told that a single chunk of corrosive blood can dissolve/injured a Gigantamax Duraludon in instant
