Fun fact: if you want random midi that still has rhythm you can drop an arpeggiator ableton effect and set it to play notes randomly and to a reasonable note length. Choose the notes in the midi clip that you want and set them to a long equal length. *btw if you're on FL Studio you can easily do the same but the arpeggiator settings is built into on of the tabs of the plugin wrapper.

Well the point of the video isn't for a preset but a style of workflow. The idea is to generate something that's rhythmic and melodic and bounce it to audio so you can either chop it up or throw into a granular sampler.

You can press CTRL+SHIFT (on Windows) and drag with your mouse to scrub through the audio like that
