Thank you Jitze, for the moment I will tell you that I design the boats an "old timey" way with pencil and paper. I then build one, sail it, a lot, and adjust things to my liking before making final drawings with pen on paper, to be scanned, producing PDFs which make up the plan set. Perhaps one day I will find time to make a video about this. Thanks for expressing your interest in the design process.

@@sailtails2775 I did name my first sailboat, an old Lightning, after my wife. So far, that has worked out OK, mostly, I think, because it got painted her favorite color. But it may be safer to go the kiddo or grandma route.

How was the guacamole? and another great video, I'm just about to embark on my first ever scratch build, your pilot cutter "Flyer" and I might just call her Guacamole, I've also considered Tally Ho Baby but I'd need to ask Leo's permission. Could you do a video on building the mold for the bulb ballast weight please? I also think it would be a great idea if you could setup some sort of registration scheme for builders of your boats, I'd also love if we could have an annual regatta but I think that would be very difficult to organise. Thanks Martin & Debbie, The guacamole was superb, what there was of it, and there was enough of it, such as it was. A video about the ballast bulbs is on my long "to do" list. Registration might not be appropriate, given the free spirit nature of many a sailor. A regatta could be great fun, though the boats are scattered far and wide. A good many boats are sailing in the UK so perhaps local regattas will happen, such as with the "3 Amigos" in Australia. Cheers !

Martin & Debbie: Here in the Netherlands, most RC clubs have a hard time trying to survive. However, I see that online groups seem to be thriving quite well. Perhaps this is the way forward for people to gather and enjoy the hobby? BTW, all the best with your first scratch build!

I'm watching the video of the were you have 3 different fins. I sail the (EC12) East Coast 12 meter RC Yatch. Very shallow keel. With all the water vegetation here in Florida bulb keels get hung up. But boy you have some real nice boats! Well done 👏!
