Thanks for sharing this! A lot of work to video, too. Did I see that you cut a channel on the inside of the insole, but not a feather on the edge? So the welt us sewn right to the edge of the insole? I guess there's no risk of seeing inseam stitches on the outside when the welt rolls over them. There are so many different handwelt styles!

@@kustomkraftbootmaker yeah. Hey I actually have a question. Why the leather on the toe instead of using celastic or something else? The leather looks to not have much rigidity, as opposed to the counter that is very rigid. It just seems a bit redundant lol Not criticizing you by the way just curious.

​@@LaymensLameManbecause I like the fact that leather is natural. I put the leather toepuff on when it's wet. After drying the leather gets real rigid or hard.

I love the video and the resulting boot, but when I saw the caption came up that you made the boots with your hands the smart ass in me wanted to ask when are you going to make a boot with your feet. BY FEET FOR FEET.

Don't count the time but I think it should be about 40 to 50 hours.

Basically it's 2,5cm but the commando sole is very thick so I had to put more layers to the heel.
