I'm not a soap maker, but I watch your videos for visual-ASMR, and your commentary always puts a smile on my face! Beautiful soap and love the slightly translucent quality of the dark parts and the delicious-looking creamy white; my husband walked in while I was watching this and said, "Soap? This is dangerous, I'd want to eat it!" 😂

Ohh I love the creamy swirls and dollops! I've made a couple of batches of coffee soap that I love - I used brewed grounds and coffee along with my goats' milk, (super scrubby because it's regular drip-coffee-grind not espresso-grind, I love a scrubby soap after doing farm work all day!) - but I never thought of adding cacao powder, I'd like to try that next time, I love that dark color! I'd also like to try the cream swirls and dollops on top, so pretty! Thank you Ellen for another great video and inspiration! :)

Hello Ellen, this is Esther from The Netherlands. What an amazing beautiful products you make! I just can’t stop watching your videos and I get so inspired!!! Thank you. I have one question. I am wondering if and if so, how do you wrap your soap? I would like to use a sleeve or something, but it is hard to find a good solution. Do you have any ideas?
@EllenRuthSoap2 жыл бұрын
I use a couple of different kinds of wrap for my bars, depending on the design. I shrink wrap my more "showy" bars and use kraft paper for the simpler bars, I also use soap boxes from WSP sometimes.
@estherkeyzer43992 жыл бұрын
I have no experience with shrink wrap. Sure want to try, so you can show the soap. Doesn’t it melt the soap in the process?

Thank you so much I've a question, I know coffee water and milk is water discounted, but today you added coffee ground and water to one part of the soap batter after dividing, how do you calculate the coffee water? Cos it was added after dividing.

@@EllenRuthSoap so am I however I think they tend to go hand in hand ....my brother who is semi retired marine who owns property in MT is an avid coffee drinker like myself and he was considering growing coffee on his ranch but I told him that it's much better climate wise to grow it down here in Arizona but then again if he does it up there on his ranch he could do it within a fully automated temperature controlled greenhouse..so idk trial and error I guess .yes please do ask him and let me know ..also curious to know if he's done research on how to create instant coffee ...I know it can be done via DIY just not sure exactly what the method would be to use! I know the equipment used by the manufacturers is extremely expensive but haven't researched far enough into the equipment and if they have it in a DIY version ....down the rabbit hole we go Ellen lol..research is never ending
