Sounds like what really would have helped you is a revolute joint with a rotational spring. That is, it can revolve, but the further it has revolved away from the equilibrium point, the greater the torque pushing it back. This would have been good for the joint connecting the body to the car and the head to the body. But hey, it ended up really well regardless :). Although I would recommend studying some more mechanical physics so that a lot of the problems you faced could have been avoided/anticipated.

Seriously, 90% of the problems could be fixed in unity 2d on an editor level. (only terrain generation would require a script, and it would not have to be OO) You're a nice guy but definitely a masochist. Also, unity supports JavaScript

I mean everything I know says you CAN do it (you may be right on the legality though) but you can not do generations nearly as efficiently, as you can not run the game 20-100 simultaneous ways easily, also you can't really fast forward. basically what I'm trying to say is i think it comes down to training efficiency.
