Please read the description first. Practical demo's/vid's at the end of this text.
In this video I show how I make the boards (“platforms”) for my radio circuits and other electronic circuits, working between say 1 Hertz and 15 MC (Mega cycles).
Made with brass nails on an extremely good (in an electrical way) isolated piece of wood, immersed or covered with “shellac”. Of course we use the modern form of “shellac” now, 2024, = the glue for sewage pipes (BISON KIT type, smell: acetone) in this way.
Both glues that I have used in this video (Bison contact glue, green color, to connect the pieces of plywood togeter and Bison glue for PVC sewage pipes (clear color) work out very properly because of their extreme high quality electrical isolation properties.
In my opinion this is the best way for radio hobbyists (radio & electronics beginners, perhaps (semi) professionals working in this field, when it regards basic electronic circuits with a few transistors) to develop electronic circuits, most for analog applications.
But I also have made, in the past, a 20 MC frequency counter in this way, with brass nails on such a piece of wood, varnished in this way with this glue.
Also a SW Radio 2 MC-12 MC. When I have time and You Tube does not hinder me I will give the links during this evening or tomorrow, at least to that SW Radio that was made on this (brass nails-glue) “platform”, it is somewhere on my YT Channel.
Ideal is that you can copy directly the schematic to a circuit board.
NB: of course I know all the high tech ways used in professional development/electronic design, via a computer, via 3D projecting, etc.
My You Tube channel trailer is here: • Radiofun232 on KZbin
Type there the keywords that you like (e.g. radio/audio/amplifiers/test/filter/) in the “looking glass” = search function” and give “enter”. Via that you can find specific video’s (under the say 1500 published).
When you search, search always “NEWEST FIRST” to get the right overview.
You can also search via the “looking glass” on my Channel trailer via keywords like ”audio”, “radio”, “amplifier”, “filter”, “Shortwave”, “transistor”, “FET”, “oscillator”, “generator”, “switch”, “schmitt trigger” etc; so the electronic subject you are interested in.
My books about electronics & analog radio technology are available via the website of "LULU”, search for author “Ko Tilman” there. www.lulu.com/search?adult_aud...
I keep all my YT videos constant actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on KZbin. Search there, and avoid my circuits that are republished, re-arranged, re-edited on other websites, giving not probable re-wiring, etc. Some persons try to find gold via my circuits. I take distance from all these fake claims. Upload 8 May 2024.

The original Bread Board. Point to point wiring still works. Tri-plex is called plywood in the U.S. 😊
