A preamp and driver section for the transformer coupled Ge amplifier. The output section is available elsewhere on this channel. This is just the schematic with resistor, capacitor and transistor values and not a physical item.

Thanks for posting this video! I wound an 'output-transformer' for the amp tonight. Will have to do some test on it to see if it will work for this type amp? 800-ohm(c.t.)to 8-ohm.Would be (400-ohm(c.t.)to 4-ohm),which might be a bit high,or low for the current?Still working on it!!!

If output transformer primary is 400-ct-400 the output would be very low, a few milliwatts at most. An LT700 primary is somewhere in the region of 20-ct-20 ohms. 800R would be the primary of driver transformer. Thank you for your comment, Robbie. 😎

@@hoofbags It's actually wound for 10:1 ratio for '8-0hm-load! I will check the actual 'winding-resistance' against other known transformers' to see if it's very far off. The ohms' of (800ohm-8ohm) is the 'impedance-ratio' 8x100 ,8x1 ,if I read the book right!Ha! Actual winds' are (primary:250-0-250 Secondary:50). It will be interesting to see what the 'windings' actually read on the meter?🥂

I found the 'winding-schematic' for the 'LT700' online! Primary(420-0-420)=840-total(DCR=63ohms') Secondary(45-total)(DCR=0.38ohms'). 1.2K-3.2ohm. 🥂

I wouldn't mind seeing that. Naturally, these values are reactive and different considerably from what resistance we'd read on a DVM. My Workshop is ill equipped and I don't have anything capable of reading impedance: above my pay grade! 😃

@@hoofbags I ordered some(Lt44s')and a 'Hammond' ,output-transformer.(1k-3.2ohm).The Hammond frequency' response is (150hz-15khz) and rated at (750mW).Some people have built these amps' with the 'Hammonds' and say there is improvement in clarity? Not sure if 'clarity' is really a problem for guitar-players'?Ha! My 'lab-equipment' is a bunch of meters',a 'dino-scope' and some older, 'H-P',sine-generators'(Ham-fest-specials')🥂
