I've developed a habit where I don't fully commit to a weld if it's something that can be welded when the project is in its completion phase. I usually just tack it in place. This has saved me a TON of time grinding/cutting if something is wrong.

The advantages of the hydraulic system are , 1: it’s so powerful to move anything, close or far away. 2: one hydraulic system can operate many implements at the same time, and in different directions.

Very nice work! consider some of these upgrades for you fluid reservoir: Add baffles to the inside. this will help slow the fluid down giving it more time to cool and let contaminates sink to the bottom. the return line should be as far as possible from the intake for the same purposes. Also its best to have the return line slightly submerged to prevent air bubbles from forming when the fluid falls in. one more thing i might add is a magnet to catch metal particles. By the way i didn't see a pressure relief valve anywhere. it would be wise to add one especially since you will be using it as a press.

Your tips are very accurate and useful to many people. However, my hydraulic system is very simple because it will not operate under constant load and its operation will be rather temporary. Your tips are good for larger systems exposed to longer run times and higher loads. Regards.
