It's very interesting. I can't believe this thing😄 walks with such power, relying on a belt

As an automation student, I found its motors robust, inexpensive in car scrapyards and brilliant. I had lots of ideas for diverted applications And then we actually ended up working with brushless, industrial controllers, Siemens or Schneider PLCs. Goodbye to youthful dreams. Too bad: no more time to have fun. Sniff. 🥰

Great video. I would like to see a video showing the controls -- limit switches, voltage regulator & relays.

Add a tow hitch, and you could double the capacity with a nice little trailer, that, of course, you will build!

Nice work and the machine turned out great. But I'm thinking it's not for large logs and by the time you haul the log back and place the small log on the machine, I'd have the log cut up using a hand held chain saw.

The center of weight is too far behind and I find the hydraulic mechanism an overkill. This thing is only for youtube content. You weld nicely though.

very nice work. seen the vid till half. but: you never can maintain the break disc without cutting the rear frame in half... or am i wrong?

yes, i am wrong - you easily can detach the wheel bearings.

Cutting steel is really easy, you just need a bunch of machine tools, expensive linear rails, and a plasma cutter. Love it, but it's definitely not the most accessible means to cut steel. You could get rid of the wiper motor, and just use a counterweight. You could eliminate the expensive linear rails, with a piece of strut channel. Then you just have to find a plasma cutter.
