Bet you never thought you’d see someone making jewelry from concrete, huh? Well, in today’s video that’s exactly what I’m doing! I’ve been wanting to get a bit more creative with my DIY projects and, as most of you know, I LOVE pouring concrete.
Combine that with a general lack of supplies and materials, and this unconventional materials challenge was born!
Have you ever made cement crafts like this? I want to see your creations! Post on Instagram and make sure to tag ValleyBuzzSaw!!

Since a few of you asked, here's some info on the weight of these earrings. I filmed weighing them but the footage was awful and I just didn't have time to do-over. They clock in at .15oz. For reference, my heaviest other earrings are .10oz so not too far off! They're actually much lighter than I expected.

Such a fun project! I love the white with blue dots - very summery, but the square blue and beige/rust ones are pretty, too! Oh, wait, I love them all. Glad they are not too heavy. Thanks for sharing something enjoyable and pretty!

Since the blue with white dots broke, the white ones are my new fave too! Your other faves are Matt's fave. You've got great taste 😎 Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your pieces over on IG. Loved seeing those!

What a fun project! My favorite part was when you were talking about making the foundations for ant houses. Clever!

It was fun thinking of my construction counterparts out there with 12' 2x4s screeding foundations while I used a toothpick 🤣🐜🏠 Thanks!

Liked your idea and will be trying it. I would very lightly sand them as with very fine paper just to smooth them off a bit.

Yes for sure, if I made these again I'd consider sanding. They've held up surprisingly well. If you try them come back and let me know how it goes!

Can I use either mica powders or acrylic paint to tint/colour cement? If so, how is it mixed best, with the water before adding to powder cement, or ?? Thank you!

I know a lot of crafters are adding acrylic paint to concrete these days but I've personally never done it (unsure about strength.) The only thing I'd suggest are concrete colorants/tints and those vary where and how you add them. Each package should specify. The mica could probably mix in with the powder then add to the water. Also never done that! I'm not a pro/mason/cement worker so take any advice with a grain of salt. 🤷‍♀️ I highly recommend experimenting! That's half the fun of DIY - the mystery surrounding results! Good luck with it! 😎 Edited for spelling...

Fun video! This might be my favorite project yet. Although I feel like I've said that a few times. 😁 They are so cute! I think the black ones are my favorite and I don't usually go for gold jewelry either. Are they heavy to wear?

Oh yea! I'm okay with your favorite being more than 1 project heehee. I love the black ones too, but my fave were the blue until they crumbled 😭 Still going to wear them though! They aren't heavy actually, I'm pinning a comment with more info now! Thanks for watching!

Isnt it damage our skin ? Bcuz of the material is cement. Im really interesting this vedio thank you so mutch.

Cement can be drying to the skin when in powder form or once wet. It doesn't bother me but there are always gloves, or look up other safety measures. I can't speak to that because I'm not a pro and only work with what's right for me. I suggest everyone do their own research on a product before using it. Thanks for asking and for stopping by!

I didn't see you making a hole. Is it in the mold?
@CopperCactusCrafts

Yes, the mold has a silicone post that will become the hole.
