Traditional. Beautiful. Masterfully executed. I assume this was done in fine silver, not sterling, as it appears you are fusing and not soldering? Your control and timing are superb throughout every process. Fast, but not hurried. Few recuts. Very assured placement, adjustment, and fitting. All followed by impeccable finish work. I hope this art continues for generations to come. Thank you for posting this.

Absolutely beautiful work, thank you for sharing your process with us, I'll def hit subscribe. Brought back some wonderful old memories for me too, reminding me of being a sad 7 yr old kid who spent too many hrs hanging out at her brothers grave, when a chance encounter ended up with me learning jewelry wire techniques from one of the local cemeteries gardeners on his lunch breaks. He was a lovely, elderly, Iranian man, Aamash, who used to pat me on the head & smile at the little items I made to put on top of my brothers stone...neither of us spoke ea others languages, but one day I saw him making tiny wire figures & weaving little animal amulets... I was instantly intrigued & wanted to learn how. Lol, He had no clue what I was babbling to him, so I ran home & came back with little things I'd made from snagging my mom's awful green garden wire & showed him them, then pointed to one of his amulets, then at him, then me- He got it then, smiled & his eyes lit up. After that the language barrier didn't matter...we both spoke art, lol. He'd come over to our house, which was almost next door, on other side of train tracks, at lunchtime & using my dads hand torch, his own gardening snips / pliers/files, sandpaper & some pretty rocks from the garden , Aamash taught me so many techniques & jewelry wonders that could be made with simple wire & started me on the path to a lifetime love of jewelry making.

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I heard this beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing it with us. I wish you the best, dear friend, artist and tasteful, and that kind old Iranian man who was my compatriot. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@PersianHandCraftsP Having him as a friend & mentor so young & for over a decade, also helped teach me a huge life lesson on how not to hate blindly because of politics, ideology or religion & not paint everyone with the same brush...hard lessons, esp at the end of the 70's in a very small minded Massachusetts town. Art & the wonderful craftspeople who make it have reinforced that lesson over the decades, even if most of our ideals, views are different, we always have at least one huge common ground, some thing to agree on, share, learn from ea other...art & craft skills & the old ways of doing them.😁❤ It's the 1 thing I love the internet for, opening up the world to places that used to be isolated. Allowing craftspeople of all skills to find ea other, introducing new people, esp younger ones, to arts & crafts they may have never seen & best yet, getting a lot of those same people to want to not only buy items, which greatly helps some artists/family's out, but makes some want to DO the artform, breathing new life into many dying arts & skills, before they are lost. I've made friends all over the world because of art & at times in my life was privileged /blessed enough to visit many of them in their countries & exchange skills...sometimes not the safest of trips, lol, but ea invaluable. & If I hadn't had him as one of my 1st mentors, maybe I would never have done so & would have missed out on a lot of skills, meeting some amazing craftspeople & their families & being exposed to so many cultures. The world being what it is, sadly I've never made it to Iran or many countries in that part of the world, but had always wanted to, to see some archeological sites & architecture, for the still hand worked metal-(esp copper)vessels/pots & inlaid furniture , exquisite jewelry, gorgeous mosaic & tile work, Persian textiles( both cloth & rugmaking)& so many others. I wanted to learn it all😁 O,if only to be young again ! Lol

@julieallen Seriously?! You watch someone first transform a lump of metal into fine, delicate wire & then create a tiny piece of exquisite artwork & THAT boorish comment was all you could think of to write?! Since you seem to not be very bright, besides rude & unappreciative of fine craftsmanship, I'll explain. Working with copper & silver that tarnishes & transfers easily, along with metal filings & dust, torches, files, iron rollers, pickling solutions, waxes, borax powder, polishing pastes, nevermind open flames all can be very dirty/grimey to work with & artists hands get dirty creating items.
