idk if this helps but in kawaii future bass, one of the main factors in the chords are dominant chords. without, it will probably sound more like future bass with anime sounds.
@adk_studios

Yes it helps. I actually wanted to stay away from a lot of the overused characteristics. But, if thats something that important, I think I should incorporate it. Will do it, when I release this as an official song later.

What would you say is a great way to learn how to use Cakewalk and how do you learn what the different VST Plugins do? Sometimes I'm completely lost on what some settings do. I always appreciate your videos, I'm a complete beginner and feel it'd be so much better if I knew how to use my "tools" properly like you do. Thanks by the way!
@adk_studios
@adk_studios 3 жыл бұрын
It took me more than 6 months to understand Cakewalk. Just mess around with it, is what I would say. It worked for me. Yes, you will get frustrated, but it would be worth it. Watch a lot of production videos too... About the tools... You won't figure out everything right away. Look up some demo videos of the plugins you intend to use. After using a few plugins, you will start to recognise the common controls across them and will be able to understand new plugins easily. & happy learning....

Try MT Power Drumkit for realistic Drums (like in bands) There are a lot of freebies in here - cymatics.fm/pages/free-download-vault Download it and experiment. Critically listen to tracks. Try to replicate drums from your favorite tracks, and see how it goes. Also, it will take time to become better. Keep on practicing....!

@adk_studios 3 жыл бұрын
If a single layer sounds fine, you don't need to. If it does not, observe what it is lacking, then add the layer emphasising on that. Basically, layering is to get what we have in mind by amplifying (or decreasing the other) factors of the sound, (mainly by EQ)
