I think Emily needs to join you more often. She's really cute and funny! And I think I'm going to have to make this project with my teen daughter since we're planning a trip to Disney soon. Thank you, Rebecca!

Lots of cheap but not too bad flowers at dollar tree. Used them to add to my sisters wedding bouquets.

The multi colored floral ears look so much like a pair I saw at the Emporium at Disneyland. So darn cute. Enjoy your Disney Adventure... we're going to the Park in August.

Very cute! Not thinking I'm going to make them, but the info on how to use LED lights on a costume part sometime, I will add to my memory bank. I never know what goofy(pun) thing I might want to do by the time Hallowe'en comes around. (I sure hope we do have Hallowe'en this year-- last year was a bummer!)

Don’t forget to make sure the battery cover is accessible too! Sometimes those are held in place with a screw, and other times the slide off. It’s really easy to put the battery pack on upside down or such that the battery cover bumps into something and can’t be opened.
@LadyRebeccaFashions3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, unfortunately there's not really a way to glue these in place and still get to the cover!

I love these! However, I can't wear headbands, they cause pressure headaches. Have you ever seen any mickey ears that aren't full hats but also aren't headbands? Looking to get creative!
@tweetthang963 жыл бұрын
You could try alligator clips and make a fascinator style set maybe! I've never seen it done but I bet they exist somewhere
@ReneePowell3 жыл бұрын
Off the top of my head, you could make a partial headband from something flexible (stiff ribbon, horsehair braid, thick felt) and put clips at the end and one or two points in the middle. Alligator clips or wig clips might be your best bet. Stiffening the base piece with a fabric stiffener, or using wire or the middle part of a headband could also help it keep its shape. I have similar issues wearing headbands, plus they often bump into my glasses and get knocked askew. I’ve had some luck with straightening them out (with heat if they’re plastic, or by hand if they’re metal), which might work for you to reduce the pressure they put on your head.
@LadyRebeccaFashions3 жыл бұрын
I actually made some Rapunzel ears a few years ago that had alligator clips on the bottom so they could clip into a wig. So it's definitely possible!
@sarahrosen49853 жыл бұрын
@@tweetthang96 I also get pressure headaches and my first thought was “fascinator” (which don’t bother me but are socially less acceptable day-to-day, much to my chagrin ) so you are spot on!

FYI - you are using tin snips, not wire cutters - tin snips are meant to cut thin metal sheets, not thick wire...

Oh really? I had no idea. I bought these originally to cut boning, I think.
