Debbie I’m 82 and grew up on this and my children did also and now my grand children are enjoying this. I add a can of Rotel instead of the diced tomatoes. Makes it so much better with just a hint of heat. Try it

Thank you so much Debbie for sharing this recipe! it looks simpily delicious ! & pass me a bowl please! I love pasta dishes! And tomatoes i dearly love ! My late aunt Maidy used to make a Macaroni & Tomato sauce ..She made it like a soup. She had a big family so it fed a lot of people.. ..I think it was her recipe.. It was so good. Us country kids loved it!

Looks delicious I make this as well it's one of my old favorites that I grew up on but my mom always added a can of tomato soup along with a can of tomatoes we didn't add milk and it instantly makes it creamy. Just a little tip it also adds a hint of sweetness and takes the acid out of the tomato but yours sure did look delicious I wish I was sitting down to a big bowl of that right now LOL

I grew up in a house of 8 and my mom would make just the noodles and add cans of Tomato sauce and that was it! I still eat it from time to time! It is cheap to make and will fill you up! I know now how expensive it is to feed a big family and why my mother made this often!

Nice recipe. I recommend creamettes brand macaroni. My maternal grandmother would use no other brand.

I have been looking for a recipe that ended up looking like the ones my mom made and THIS is almost it. My mom put onions in hers and also I think she added a little sugar also.
@DebbieFoodPrepping3 жыл бұрын
You are supposed to add sugar and I forgot. My grandmother sometimes would put onions and sometimes not. I like it better without onions even though I love onions. Lol I haven't thought of these for a while I'm gonna have to make them again now. Have a great week!!!
