Making Magnetic Drill Stand DIY

Hi guys. You know me. If I wouldn't use all the potential of this machine I wouldn't be myself :)
The magnetic drill is an incredible tool which can simplify work at big elements.
Thanks to use this stand, the drill can be useful at small, short and narrow elements.

Strange putting magnetic part on place where could be welded. Then magnetic part onto part your camping! One clip shows it hiding 300plus kgs. So if was on drill side it would be a lot better tool. Save clamp unclamp.

as a mag. drill user I commend your work on this stand. its heavy duty and I like that. The only thing I question is the laminating of sheet steel in the base, it might cause the magnet to over heat during prolonged use or heavy drilling. I used 1/2" plate for my base and it has served me well for over 20 years.
