i don't know what Maidana has done in his past, but from hearing Robert Garcia talk about him, it's obvious he wasn't making the right decisions and was probably on the path that a lot of young people take, especially when they're surrounded by gang violence, but I definitely respect Maidana for getting his life together and becoming more than a statistic. From watching All-Access you can tell that he works hard in the boxing gym, but more importantly, he seems to be a great father to his children, a great husband to his wife, and he's been very loyal to the people that have helped him become the fighter and man he is today. Even though i'm a floyd fan and think that floyd will win this fight, i know it won't be easy for him, and if Maidana wins i won't even be upset. I didn't know much about Maidana until his last fight with floyd, but consider me a fan of this guy. it's hard not to root for him. Win or lose, i wish nothing but the best for him and his family.

Mayweather acts like an aggressive fighter outside the ring, Maidana tries to box in the ring, but when it all comes down to it, Maidana just wants to Fight all balls out, and Floyd just wants to play it safe and box. I think Maidana will outwork, outpoint Mayweather this time out.

They have this completely wrong, they think the only fighter to beat mayweather is someone who's gone threw shit, but news flash every boxer goes threw hard shit including mayweather, No one is intimidated by mayweather but when they get in the ring they are frustrated more then intimidated, it takes someone who's extremely smart and can match him with a strong skill set, that's something almost every boxer lacks one or the other, Mayweather is a rare bread, someone with the physical, mental and emotional tools to be the ultimate boxer, this guys gone threw more shit in his career then any other fighter by far and it's molded him into the fighter he is today, he's honestly untouchable.

Garcia's attitude is admirable and so is the courage of the brawling style, but it will need a special refinement against MW, especially in terms of accuracy. Mike Tyson was a kind of brawler and could out bang about anyone on the inside. This must've had something to do with his striking accuracy and speed, as much as his power. Maidana has the power; I hope he also has the accuracy and speed needed to win this fight, and a couple tricks up he sleeve. With Mayweather, every fighter needs a little magic. Magic MW sounds more appropriate than Money MW.

Rivaldo, this is the kind of comment that really pisses me off. If you truly know about boxing you will know that boxers continuously learn their craft. Some get better and some stagnate! Now you are looking at fights that are well past their sell by date! The fights you are talking about are so irrelevant as of now because Maidana is nowhere near the same fighter he was back then. In boxing kids with rough past have the most chances to getting in the ring and leaving it all in there.. I knew kids in amateurs who had rough upbringing but hated taking a punch to the point to quit after said punch.. Ultimately not only do rough paths help boxers but mentality is what you truly need in boxing
