This movie has a special place in my heart. Did a stint in children’s hospital the year after this movie came out. Had to be poked and prodded with needles for a few hours despite having a phobia of them and not feeling good already. Since I was ‘brave’ my mom let me pick out a movie from the electronics section of Walmart while we waited for my medicine to be prepared. This was the movie I picked out. Despite having spent a good 13 hours in the hospital, and running on zero sleep we watched it as soon as we got home. I just remember cackling hysterically with my mom during this scene and the skydiving scene. 😂 I was in tears from laughing so hard over this specific scene though because what isn’t funny about a man turning the same shade of blue as a smurf to a kid lmao?

You can never go wrong with Barbie! I forget which year it was, but the day before Thanksgiving I was admitted to children’s hospital for overnight observation. I couldn’t keep anything down and was severely dehydrated. Something else was bothering me but I honestly can’t remember what it was since it’s been a good 20+ years. I do however remember that Nickelodeon at the time was having a 24hour marathon of various Barbie movies. I got to watch Barbie and the Nutcracker for the first time with my mom that day. It instantly became one of my favorite movies (still is if I’m being honest 😂 that, Swan Lake, and the Rapunzel movie are my top 3).
