Due to the high demand, our MEN'S sandals are now handcrafted in Leon, Mexico using the EXACT SAME leathers, Vibram rubber, crepe and crafting methods that we used. The flip flops being assembled in THIS VIDEO only show the methods that Trenton and Heath used, when previously made in Nashville, but they continue to be used in Leon, Mexico.

While watching this video it took me back to fond memories of my Grandfather's shoe in Lebanon PA , John DiNunzio. The wonderful smell of leather, dyes, the glue, ah the glue. He specialised in orthopedic builds and repairs, using a Dr.'s prescription. He could make a pair from scratch. This is a wonderful craft.

I purchased a pair of the Flip Flops (Mens) Bull Hide / Walnut 2 weeks ago, they are breaking in quickly, and are comfortable. The only thing I am confused about is the Made in Mexico printed on the inside of the upper. I take it to mean the Vibram sole is made in Mexico, it reads: Size 12; Leather Upper; Balance Manmade; Made in Mexico. Other than that confusing bit these are great. I had a pair of leather flip flops years and years ago, I wore them for a good 6 years (many of those every day) and they wore out. I have been looking every where for a replacement and I couldnt find a pair like these with the thick sole and leather uppers, until I started watching this channel and found the Southern Polished. I hope these last as long and stay as comfortable as my old pair did!

I’m sorry but the men’s sandals are made in Mexico. They are designed by us and used to be made by us, but could not find the labor to keep up with the demand. They are made EXACTLY the way we designed them and we cut some apart to ensure QC.

Dang... these are among the best if not the best sandals made. Wonderful, highest quality materials, great design and quality construction! Love that the straps are tacked, the single biggest complaint I have with sandals is the straps pulling out.

I gotta say, these pairs are amongst the best quality, durable sandals that money can buy. & they're *cheap* ! I would put them against any luxury brand, and these would come on top by far. Watching these videos have made me into 2 things, 1. very into high quality dress shoes and 2. Very picky about the shoes I choose. I’m always a sucker for versace but I was looking into some corneliani shoes (somewhat new brand) and it’s seems like they make some very nice quality shoes. I looked at a lot of their good year welted as well as Blake stitched. I am am curious if anyone has resoled these or seen them and recommends them or maybe recommends a different direction?

I have concerns about the tack being in the bottom. I understand it is a clinch nail. I’m wondering if you could tack the straps down before the outsole is stitched. This would put the tack between the layers.

These sandals are gorgeous! I have a question/request, would you guys be willing to make sandals that are zero-drop with truly no heel? Or take custom orders for a premium price? I see you have the option of "flat" and "stacked" heels, but I'm into the barefoot feel and I'd love to order a pair that's just stitched leather on the outsole. I also have very low volume thin feet that tend to swim in normally made shoes. I'd love to still give you guys my business, as I've been watching for years and the craftsmanship is beautiful.
