Making Minecraft slimes extremely bouncy

I made Minecraft slimes extremely bouncy.
Slimes in Minecraft don't bounce that well, which is why I decided to fix it in the code by making them extremely bouncy. They don't just bounce off the ground, but every surface, turning them into extremely satisfying and hilarious bouncy balls! It can also be extremely cursed.

3:03 Technically, due to the water's surface tension that isn't AS impossible, but the surface tension is wayyyy too low aswell as the velocity of the slime, that there is no feasible way it could work. Just thought I'd point that out, as surface tension physics are pretty cool, in my opinion.

Surface tension of lava is a lot higher though and if you made it so when one bounces off lava it catches on fire and can spread it...

@@johnather Fair, but the molten rock would most likely catch the slime, as its more of a thick goo of molten rock, so it probably wouldnt bounce and just get stuck whilst burning.

Actually, at high speed collisions water often acts similarly to a solid since it can't be compressed very much. So it's actually possible this would happen, although it would probably bounce at a much lower speed than if it hits rocks or something. Also, lava doesn't actually act like a goo when most things collide with it. It's still molten rock and metal, meaning its very dense. If you were to jump into a pool of lava, you'd just sit on top and cook due to you being much less dense and therefore more buoyant. It'd be like trying to force a balloon underwater.

that is normal physics, at higher velocities water acts like a wall and hence can allow slimes to bounce at those velocities. But the problem is at such velocities when they hit the ground they would obliterate into its constituent particles

You could probably use this to make a mod where non bouncy mobs/players take damage when bounced into a wall via knockback, etc.

Make it so slimes also bounce off of entities like the player, they would also bounce on each other. You could also make it do damage if the slime is going really fast, and if two slims slam together fast enough they become 1 bigger slime 😂

Actually bouncy player physics could be used to make a sort of minigame where you try and knock players into a void but there's walls that will rebound them to the stage if they're hit too far. That'd be fun, imagine if someone knocked the other off, but then the other person rebounded and immediately smacked the other into the void

It would be fun if the strength of the throw could be charged in the same way the horse's jump is and if it caused entities to take damage upon collision. Where the damage dealt is directly proportional to the strength of the throw.

There used to be a bukkit plugin called Launch Pads that made all wool blocks bouncy. I remember back around 2015 me and my friends used to mess around with it a lot. It was hella fun since you could wall jump with them and even make elevators if there was two walls 1 block apart. It's a shame though since that plugin has been dead for a very long time.

This is truly what people what in Minecraft, the little things that make its lore and world feel more alive and realistic, something as simple as a slime bouncing or being throwable adds so much to the game it isn’t even funny. Same with the waterfalls at water splashes, and they seem pretty simple to add for the whole Minecraft team! I support your channel so much! Keep adding the little things that add so much!!!
