I watched this video twice (as I do many times with your great videos). My question is I assume this would be set up in my regular kdp, but if it’s 2 pages, will Amazon just naturally put it in shorts? Perhaps you’ve done a video on that before and I missed it.

Yes you would publish it like a normal ebook on kdp. Amazon assigns the kindle short reads category themselves

So *excited* about this - then discovered I'm not eligible - booooo - being resident in the UK, even though I'm American-born. Do you think, Keith, if we can't do Short Reads, the best thing is to say it's a shorter work of fiction in the book description, and price it lower? Thank you!

I'm not sure what you mean by not being eligible. Short Read categories are not something you can sign up for, it's a category that Amazon will decide whether or not to assign your book to. If you mean that those categories are not available on the UK marketplace, your book should still be eligible on the .com marketplace. As for your book description, I definitely suggest mentioning it's a shorter book. There are a few creative ways you can do that. You can say things like, "In this short prequel to X..." or "X pages of action-packed excitement," etc. Best of luck!

I would disagree with you on your page read $'s. If't it's a stand alone, yead, but if you have a series, as it grows, page reads can add up.

Very excellent point! I thought I mentioned that if it was in a series it could work. But you are 100% correct! Short reads by themselves (on an individual book basis) will not make you a lot through KENP but with a series of them, it can add up fairly quickly.
