Did same thing with Superformance but didn't need to buy new side pipes. We just cut the muffler away from collector, zipped off tail section so all we had was muffler barrel. Resonator was only allowing about inch air flow. So we zipped off the 3 tig welds at each end and pulled out Resonator. Re welded exhaust tip back on , re welded muffler back to collector. Sounds insane! Only cost me 200$ Labor.

Sounds good, but when you have a race exhaust on your road / hobby car, there is a back lash of hearing loss or tinitis, which is worse, where I live we have exhaust noise laws even at race tracks 86dbl at 15 feet at 45 degrees for road car or 92 dbl at race tracks, twice over that figure at the track ( real racing with bends for 30 mins) on the same day and you go home!
