I love how this look is coming together. Yes it's not a one-to-one recreation of the original Crystal Barbie dress pattern, but i think that would only work on a doll anyway. Real people just don't have the same geometry as a Barbie doll. I like all of the changes you've made to make this work as a wearable look.

I started sewing a couple of years ago, and I was stunned by just how little of sewing is actually sitting at the machine sewing. Instead it's sketching, ironing, tracing, ironing, shopping, measuring, ironing, cutting, tweaking, pinning, ironing... To be honest, there's almost NO SEWING in sewing!!

The problem with the bobbin emptying in the bottom of the machine is such pain! There are expensive sewing machines with an empty bobbin warning function, but in the meantime, just wind the same thread onto 2 bobbins and use one of them as your top thread, so that you can see when the thread is going to run out.
