Lovely stitches 😊. Lovely.wool , yummy sweater. Did you think of using fleece fabric to line the zipper area instead of Yarn? Alt. You could use drops nord and make a thinner lining. I think I might use fleece , and make a much wider lining because I cycle and the wind always comes into the chest through the knitted fabric..
@norwegianknitter
@norwegianknitter 21 күн бұрын
Thank you! I have not thought about that before! Im sure it would work, but I don't like fleece much myself, so I'm going to keep to the original🥰

Beautiful sweater, thank you for showing how the zipper gets sewn in, very intimidating at first, Can you please show or explain your Italian cast-off? do you have a video you followed or do you have one that shows it slower? i tried to watch you but you are super fast, your bind-off looks so neat, unlike mine, I was watching the Ane Wetzel Video on how to do this, some are suggesting a 2-row setup, and then others just go for it, please let me know how you make your bind off, I want to learn it your way, Cute dog sleeping next to you keeping you save,

Thank you so much for sharing your knitting journey. I have lots of Drops Nepal to use up & from your recommendation the Zipper Sweater seems like the perfect project. Did you know Drops have another sale on currently lol. Can i ask you what needle size did you use for the ribbing & body, also trying to find your zipper sweater light & what yarn you used for this. I tried using drops nord double strand with kid silk mohair. Big fan from Ireland here.
@norwegianknitter
@norwegianknitter Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I used 4mm for the neck ribbing, 5mm for all of the stockinette and 4,5mm for the ribbing on the sleeves and body😊 I've not made the zipper sweater light for myself yet, but going to be knitting it in drops Daisy, and I've knit one for my fiancé in drops Karisma🥰

Thank you!! Watching the cast on for the collar…. I get it! Also watching the bind off (which I’m doing right now on a vest) I see how smoothly you do in 2 steps. You are my knitting guru 😁 I will cast on my zipper sweater today. Also I wanted to ask if you would use mohair in a 9 mo. old baby hat? I wonder if it would be itchy
@norwegianknitter
@norwegianknitter Жыл бұрын
Good luck with the zipper sweater!! I've used mohair for baby projects before, and I like it for babies above 3 months, but I know some people don't at all, mostly because it can shed quite a bit. But I would say go for it!

@norwegianknitter
@norwegianknitter Жыл бұрын
Syns det holder seg veldig bra! Nupper litt/en del, men lett å fjerne det og fasongen er 10/10 også over lengre tid med masse bruk🥰 Så kjipt når strikk ikke holder fasongen🥵💀
