Your neighbor Cassidy is my daughter and she told me to watch this! You're a neat kid! Keep it up! Maybe add some outrigger arms to stabilize sideways movement instead of jackstands.. good job!

I sure wish you would show how it is built abd the lift system my living room ceiling is 28 feet high and ceiling fan needs repair your rig would work great for me, good vid THANX!
@hangingaround48812 жыл бұрын
You need a brake on the lift that way if it cable snaps you don't freewill. A retractable anchored to another structure then the lift would be a simple fix. Every time you add a snatch block (pulley) your capacity increases by 50%. I would use better pulleys and your quite wheels also need extendable outriggers that you can level and gives you a wider footing. Thats something very important. But overall good job just be carefull. I fell 12 ft last year luckily didn't break anything or kill myself but I sat on the couch for 16 days and took about 10 months before I finally wasn't in pain. Compressed my ankles real bad. Stupid mistake should of been tied off

How did you make it pull the ladder section up and down with it ? Please reply
@nics-systems-electric Жыл бұрын
There is the winch at the bottom and the pulley at the top of the first ladder which goes down to the bottom of the outer ladder section and then it goes up to the top of that one and then to the part I had the actual platform on

There is a lot of safety critics out there.... maybe they're right and maybe they're wrong...as a career roofer all I can say is.... you couldn't scrounge up a 40ft ladder? Send It!!!!!

May want to put outriggers on it. Side to side stability is low would not take much crosswind to tip you over.
@nics-systems-electric Жыл бұрын
You totally would I didn't keep this thing for long as it was pretty scary lol
@indoorroadkill3369 Жыл бұрын
I like the concept but man what a death trap lol Stability and weight capacity I would want to improve. The winch and cable I wouldn't trust, they make that style up to like 1200lb capacity for like fifty bucks more, bugger cable and motor. Still good for 600lbs without the snatch block... The wagon.... the cheap pneumatic tires scare me. I have the same wagon and those tires are weak and flexy. Would definitely want solids. And some form of telescopic outriggers... something like the dolly bars on a tow truck. You could use car scissor jacks welded on the ends instead of axle stands, not only would cranking them down be easier, but it would give infinite stopping positions to solidly adjust for inconsistent terrain or a bit of slope. The carriage I would build out of steel, I have a hard time trusting wood... your cracked lumber wasn't inspiring confidence lol. It should be tall enough that you have something to hold on to and not have to crouch to operate it. Some type of drop braking would be a good idea too. Perhaps some kind of personal fall arrest unit could be made to work for that. Like I said, I like the concept... you've got the wheels turning in my mind about building one mounted to the back of my old Sonima 4x4 pickup for use around the farm...

Please teens who watch this. Please do not build this iat home. So many things can go wrong on this thing. For example sideways tipping over, or a finger between the ladder parts, something wood breaking and the thing then falling loose or apart. Probably the only thing not happening would be the cable breaking. For the rest I get scared watching this and cannot imagine your parents let you ride it.
