VWestlife has his own station for around the house. It’s a really cool video. I’d like to set one up too . No commercials and nothing but hits!!!

I didn’t know there were so many Paddington Bear haters out there!!! That’s as bad as the YT Copyright Nazis dinging 4 seconds of music!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t help but think, when you were having problems with your first radio, “no wonder Kmart went out of business!!!” So why not have fun with your stuff??? To those who think you’re not serious enough, my response is: GET A LIFE!!!

I use a modified Belkin car transmitter. The modification is that I soldered a longer antenna.

That’s super cool!!! Too bad that vintage Kmart radio probably needs new caps (which would (possibly) explain the volume issues)....

I used to have a set of wireless headphones that used this same technology. You could use the apparatus for the same thing if you wanted to. I think it is still kind of cool. Take care...

7:49 If the radio volume seems too low, perhaps you need to increase the volume of the cd player transmitting the signal.

I like using an fm transmitter around the house. Why have nice fm radios that play too many ads. Why be forced to wait and see what They are going to play? Scatter fm radios around the house..go where you want to go...hear what you want to hear...give those fm radios a reason for living.

I have a FM Soundfeeder that I bought at Best Buy 18 years ago. I like to use it whenever I play old Airchecks from the 60's through 90's. There are some DIY AM transmitters on KZbin. Yes indeed "it's fun"!

It IS kinda cool! Now, if your neighbors had their radio set to the same station setting that you were playing the "Lone Ranger" to, would they have been able to pick up your "Lone Ranger" show, too? And if you had a microphone, would you have been able to add your voice to the "Lone Ranger" broadcast? There was a time in my life when I would have eaten this stuff right up!

It's so much fun playing with those little transmitters. If you want to put out enough of a signal to reach around the block+ (legally) go AM (Talking House, ect). Carrier current AM works quite well too *if* there's a good distance between it and a line transformer.

Few years back, my brother gave me his old FM transmitter dongle (limited to 88.1-88.7). It's a little black box that plugs into anything w/ a headphone jack. Think it would transmit a few feet. Well, I couldn't have that! So, I took it apart and attached a long-wire aerial. Now it transmits at least 10x as far!

4:15 I always thought it would be cool to hear tunes specific to the era during which a radio was made, so if it was made in the 30's or 40's, only tunes from the 20's to the 40's should be played. If it was a 50's radio, then sock hop tunes of that era should be played and so on. :)

I love having my own transmitter from C-Crane Company that I use every day to transmit a signal from my computer to a radio in my bathroom so when I'm getting ready for my day I can listen to my favorite radio show since I can't receive it locally where I live.

I use of those Studebaker things to play CDs through my old Magnavox stereo console. No mods required. My only complaint is the level is really low compared to other 'stations'.
@DriveInFreak

That's an easy fix. Unplug the RCA cables from under the record changer, plug anther set of patchcords into the changer, and run them both though the back of the console so you can get to them. Put barrel connectors on the end of the leads going to the amp, and bingo! You now have an AUX in. You may have to turn the bass down a bit. Even better if you have or get an RCA switch so you don't have to swap the plugs when you want to use the record changer.

I have a standalone radiostation that does about a half a watt and kicks ass! The range is whole house and it is my favorite toy for testing old radios, beaming the signal to my poolside radio and anoying my sister by playing random cat noises over the radio in her room lmao.
