Making Natural Flea Collars for the Dogs

How do we keep our dogs healthy? In this video I tell you some of the things that we do and also show you how to make a natural flea collar that will repel all blood sucking pests!

Working in the garden and growing herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers is what I do as well as being creative around the house.
The plants I have used in the flea collars are Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), Wormwood (Artemesia absinthum) or you could also use Mugwort, (Artemesia vulgare) and Lavender (Lavendula officinalis).

How did you get them to live together? I took in two puppies few months ago and they are terrorising my cats. They want to play with them but do it all wrong and end up chasing and stressing them. They do the same to my old little dog too, stressing him out that is. I won't even go into the destruction of the house. I'm at my wits ends so any advice appreciated.

Our cat had an eye/ear infection recently and I applied comfrey tincture mixed with tea tree oil, to infected area. Within 2 day's it had completely healed. No need for expensive vet bills, our ancient remedies are the best. Blessings 😺

Thanks for the video, which I enjoyed, as always! How often do you change the herbs in the bandhana, or give them a new bandhana? Given the smell is qute strong, how do the dogs react? They seem totally fine in this video.If I may, it would be nice if you would make a video on the moth repellants you make for the cupboards and drawers and also something that smells nice for the clothes. . Hi Sonia - once the herbs have stopped smelling clean and fresh I would open the bandana and take them out. By then the bandana could be washed and then refill. Sometimes they lose their bandanas when they are out and about. I use the same herbs in little bags as moth repellants but add Lavender. If I had Cedar chips I would add those too. xx

We've always had our dogs in twos,our funniest pairing a beagle and Irish wolfhounds,the first had to be euthanased at 6 ,bone cancer and the second one outlived the beagle ,who died naturally at nearly 16 💚

Being in California there are many eucalyptus trees, would that be good to use?

Whilst Eucalyptus is aromatic it does not have the properties to repel fleas and flies etc. Use him for respiratory illness. xx
