Yes, I agree with you re the care you take placing the cording, makes a difference. The extra length actually means that the rope is fit for purpose too 0 ; ) Also the cotton cord.. That part makes a difference to me - there’s too much synthetic matter on the planet...which Matters! I personally wouldn’t buy soap with polyester cording, as I’ve seen made...But then, there is a lot of stuff I see going into soap that I feel both we, & the planet’s well-being would be better without ;);) Let us hope, that Universally Soap Makers wake up to that, and their contribution. How wonderful would that be : )

Great idea soap on a rope. I have the 9 bar mold like that's from BB that I made Licorice Allsorts soap. But I do like the rope idea for that mold. Thanks for sharing.

These soap on a rope are great for disabled or elderly too. Instead of attaching your tag with another piece of string, can you slip a tag through the rope for the soap before you tie it? Then you eliminate one step.

Great job! Thank you for sharing! I have the same mold from Nurture but find that it bows a bit. Have you tried filling the mold up or have you had any bowing with the BB version?
@thesoapbrewhouse82216 жыл бұрын
Hi Maya, the BB mold is pretty good. I've had no problems with bowing and it holds its shape. It's silicone but parts of it are stiffer. Thanks for watching.

thanks for video... great job. but is that cord WATER resistant so it will not end up molding after or being in shower?
@thesoapbrewhouse82216 жыл бұрын
Tina Siz Hello! This is a 3mm cotton cord. It is not water resistant but i also havent has any issues with mold or smells because of the cord, nor have i been told of any with the cord from my regular customers that buy my soap ropes. I think because it's meant to hang, it naturally airs itself out. Thanks for watching.

Hi Tamika, Sadly, I discovered that the 1982 Blue Mica from Bramble Berry that I used was discontinued. I haven't found a replacement denim blue mica yet that matches the 1982 but Brilliant Blue Mica from Nurture Micas is close. Thanks for watching!

Hi, What oils and butters did you use? 😊
@thesoapbrewhouse82212 жыл бұрын
Hello. It's a 38oz oil batch. It's been a while since I've made the soap on a rope. Generally, the recipe is olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, Grapeseed oil, and castor oil or canola oil. Make sure your fragrance behaves nice so it allows you to pour each mold then set the ropes. Enjoy.

Isn't any type of ropes are producers of bacteria when they're constantly wet, in a humid place and are surrounded by steam and hot water?! I don't understand this type of product, because it's not sanitary at all to do this. Especially, together with the soap.
