It is made of aluminum, and built mainly with hand tools and a English Wheel.

I am a Certified Welding Inspector. His welding is excellent. Aluminum is a temperamental metal to weld, especially at that gauge. His technique, and the use of the correct heliarc machine prevented warping the piece. I loved the finish work for the build he was doing but these welds look so good that in a more “organic” project it would be attractive to leave the weld profile in the finished project. Excellent craftsmanship, it looks like an OEM piece of bodywork.

The tank is the OEM BMW part. But the tail is still impressive though. True craftsmanship!
