I'll give this film a very-HARD-pass,hits home too much for me.Did 4 deployments to go fight in Iraq and some interpreters led our people into ambushes.Although on my first tour to Iraq my unit had a female Iraqee interpreter who was-LOYAL-but,the Iraqee men didn't like a female interpreter and at times tried to get-ROUGH-with her,so we had to put the WWE smack-down on them.We had to show this female interpreter we had her back and wasn't playing no games with her protection.

This movie was fantastic. So many elements came together. I'd have to say the soundtrack was one of my favorite parts. It was solidly driving the story all the way through. Also the acting was incredible. I loved the dead pan delivery of the lines. It was like an inside look into the life of a modern soldier, but when the shit hit the fan. The acting took on a completely different tone.

I was so impressed with this film! I love Guy Ritchie films. It was incredibly emotional and the way Guy portrayed the PTSD and flashbacks was incredibly moving he captured it so well. I suffer from CPTSD. The actors were phenomenal I will watch and Jake Gyllenhaal films. The soundtrack was amazing as well!! 😊

What is CPTSD ??? I suffer from PTSD also,did 4 deployments to go fight in Iraq,once had a female,Iraqee interpreter and the male Iraqee's hated that !!! LOL. Didn't like being dictated to by a woman,but,she did a very-GOOD-job for us despite the difficulties.She was also very-PRETTY-and had gorgeous,brown eyes.

@@powerbadpowerbad it’s called Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: just means that after suffering from trauma and abuse that abuse continued to happen from support system so it prolongs the healing process from traumatic events. It took me a long time to work through it with my therapist. But I have a much better understanding of what I need to do to take care of myself. Thanks for asking and thank you for your service!!

If Guy Ritchie wasnt a real man he wouldn’t have made this movie. It takes a deep understanding of a bond only some men create between eachother. Despite all the current negative attention on masculinity, this movie shines light on the side of masculinity that is the most beautiful and only known to real men. Always wanted a movie that could make the world understand this side of being a man.

who ever the location scout was for this film....you got it soooooo good I felt like I was back there while I was in the theaters the day it came out. What was even weirder was naming the districts he visited when he went back, because I was there......9 years ago. I wasn't so sure about this film at first but 15 mins in I got sucked into it. The bagrrm airfield felt like the real one with the mountains in the background that surround it, the mountains he was fleaing from were so accurate I actually smelled the scenes. When I saw the villages, the names (Charikar ive been to many many times) and how the mountains looked? I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that it said it was a *this* place in Afghanistan and it actually looked like that place because ive been there. It felt so strange to watch. The uniforms, the talk, the gear, all perfect. The weapon set ups...not so much, but I let that slide because everything else felt so spot on. Former army Infantryman here so if you were trying to appease us in the authenticity of the feel of this film? You did it. Although the speaking of "Dari" in the area there is not what they spoke - the speak "Pashtu" and thats primarily what the Taliban speak as they are more so from the Pashtun tribes

But in reality, you have hordes of hot women with not so hot men - on the looks factor. The women are often with them on the secondary factors. Looks alone don't necessarily guarantee long term partners in real life. Look at Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The same with many hot looking female celebrities.
