Nice job Beverly! You might have to build another house to display all your trees! I love the uniqueness of handmade ornaments. Very creative Bev!

Those are beautiful and such a great idea! My grandmother used to cut out shapes like bells and trees and she would punch holes all around the edges and then crochet around the edges. She used cookie cutters to trace around and then cut the shape out of a card. People who lived through the depression had some of the best ideas!!

This is beautiful but Lord I wouldn't have the patience to do all of that! I'm not a crafty type person at all! Bravo to you! Sure would keep kids busy!

Jomama, they really don’t take all that long to make, maybe 10-15 minutes each once you know what you are doing. Especially, with Bev’s cheat. That little jig with the markings for scoring is a great improvement. Keeps them all uniform ensuring a great fit. You can finish them off with a little sprig of evergreen and a couple of pine cones, holly and berries, a couple of small jingle bells or even just a multi loop bow; and what about a little tassel hanging from the bottom.

Thanks Bev for sharing this awesome Christmas tutorial with us.... I still have the Christmas ornaments that my kids made when they were younger and to this day I still use them in the Christmas tree.(I’m an avid keeper of things lol) ( eldest is 20 and youngest is turning 13). I’ve left the idea of perfection about getting the Christmas tree decorating out of the state lol.... I put up my tree and let the kids go to town for the decorating...

Hi, Bev. I did this in grade school and I wanted to craft with the son of a friend of mine when he was just a young lad (pre u-tube). Unfortunately, it had been so long since I had done it I only remembered how to do the 2 caps and not how to finish them. I was so disappointed with myself.

When I was a kid we used red and green construction paper to make the paper chains for our tree. Love your ideas. We also collected pine cones and glittered them in Christmas color for tree and used pipe cleaner to make hook for the the tree.
